Arthur Nowlin
Counselor Speaker Author Arthur Nowlin, LMSW, FMSW,CAADC, AAFLP, President of A E Nowlin and Associates, Vice President of Kim Logan Communications Clinic, held a Bachelors of Science degree in Education and a Masters of Social Work from Wayne State University in addition to being a Certified Administrative Addiction Drug Counselor meeting the needs of individuals and families. Arthur Nowlin was a board member for the Substance Abuse Disorder Oversight Policy Board of Detroit Wayne County Mental Health Authority. Mr. Nowlin was one of the first members recommended for appointment to this board by DWMHA. Mr. Nowlin has been Executive Director of Program for a Detroit based Homeless Shelter and Deputy Director of three family agencies during his thirty year career. Mr. Nowlin has assisted in helping returning citizens re-enter into society while re-establishing their family environment. Mr. Nowlin has been the co-author of the Christian publication known as the Attitude Adjustment for The Christian Man and Woman, Marriage; Living with the Unexplainable, ICU: Can Our Marriage Survuve Or Not? Mr. Nowlin was married to his wife Kim Logan-Nowlin, Ph.D. for over 25 years and together they presented workshops and seminars on marriage and family issues throughout the United States sharing insight on the dynamics of marriage and saving families. They were co-host on the Dare to Dream Three ABN Christian Network" Making It Work". In addition to being tv hosts, they were contributing writers for the Message Magazine online- The Drama Files. The legacy will continue with Dr. Kim Logan-Nowlin. As a person in recovery of substance abuse issues for the past 29 years, Mr. Nowlin was truly living with the unexplainable and saw himself as a "Change Agent."
